Jamming detection and frequency hopping

The CIE constantly monitors the quality of wireless communication with system devices. If data packets are lost, it automatically switches to a different frequency within the band and reports the interference. Both the security company and users are notified about jamming attempts, ensuring the system stays one step ahead of sabotage.

All data stored and transmitted by the system is protected with block cipher encryption featuring a dynamic key. This makes it virtually impossible to reprogram the device, substitute, or steal the data.

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller enclosure features two tamper buttons that trigger an alarm if the device is detached from the surface or removed from the mounting panel. To further resist dismantling attempts, the range extender is secured with a lock at the bottom of the enclosure. The lock can only be opened with a special key tool included in the complete set.

Ajax systems use secure two-way communication based on proprietary Jeweller and Wings radio protocols. Devices maintain a stable connection with the CIE at distances of up to 1,800 meters. Alarm delivery is confirmed in line with the EN 54-21 standard. Events reach the CIE in just 3 seconds — more than three times faster than the standard requirement of 10 seconds.

Communication with Ajax server and apps

The CIE can be connected to four internet providers simultaneously. It uses an Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection as the primary channel and has two SIM cards that support 2G/4G (LTE) as backups. If the primary channel is lost, the CIE automatically selects the SIM with the strongest signal. Switching between channels takes seconds.

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller connects directly to a 110–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply via dedicated power terminals. The power cable is not included, and the device must be wired directly into the electrical network.

Backup battery

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller features a compartment for installing one of the available backup batteries²:
